On my own is created because of my fascination with Les Miserables and my connectedness with the character Eponine. In the musical, Eponine sings the beautiful song On my own, a song that can move you, a song with lots of emotions. Wandering through the streets of Paris, under bridges and along rivers... sung by a character with emotional scars.
Simple but beautiful...
On my own is ontstaan door mijn fascinatie voor Les Miserables en de verbondenheid die ik voel met het personage Eponine. In de gelijknamige musical zingt Eponine het prachtige lied On my own/Heel alleen, een nummer dat je naar de keel grijpt en waar je helemaal in meegevoerd wordt. Slenterend door de straten, zwervend onder bruggen en langs rivieren... gezongen door een personage met emotionele littekens.
Eenvoudig doch prachtig...
